Namnum’s Corner: Making Your Club An Even Better Placer

Hola Amigos!

This summer has been all about rebuilding.  Some of it was planned.  Some of it not.  All in all the changes have made your Club an even better place to visit.

The first reconstruction has been of our newsletter which you can see here.  We hope this will help us all to stay better connected and keep you more informed.  Personally I like the way it looks and feels.  Our team put in a lot of effort so let us know what you think of the results by posting on our Facebook page or here on the blog

Allegro Playacar First Club’s Arena Beach Lounge and Infinity Pool are already extremely popular. We are frankly concerned that when you see the new changes you may never want to leave.  Luckily we have ways that you can extend your stay.  Find out what you can do to make that happen by contacting

We’ve also completed the First Phase of a $1.4 million renovation to its Grand Punta Cana Beach Club.  By mid-November we will also finish upgraded renovations to the Grand Punta Cana’s First Club Lounge.  This is just another way we have been refurbishing our resorts to keep providing you with exceptional amenities.

Unfortunately we also have some restoration in process due to fire damage at Allegro Cozumel.  Luckily no people were hurt and we came away only with property damage, which is always reparable.  So, in concert with the construction to repair damages, there is a new First Club pool going in.  After all the turmoil, I for one am very ready just to kick back and relax, enjoy a cocktail and a lazy afternoon in the sun.  Come join me!

    I enjoy the newsletter and updates.
    However my wife and I and my Married daughter son in law and my Grandson and his fiancee. We were at the Occidental Grand Aruba Aug. 2-9, and we are First Club members.
    As usual we had a great time, and we have Always been very Proud to show new family members our choice in choosing the Occidental Group for our Only Timeshare.
    However I must say that this time we were really not as pleased as we have been in previous years. The food choices seemed to have diminished in quality to some degree. We had our first meal at the Desire Lounge for dinner, and it seemed as though they served us what they had at lunch, we ordered and the waiter had to apologize as they didn’t have enough of what we chose to accommodate us. And the taste and quality just weren’t there. The Italian, and Chinese were as usual Outstanding. The Mexicna left a little to be desired but was okay.
    I must Also Say that the staff , Renato, Jesus at breakfast Always SO wonderful congenial and start our day GREAT, David in the First Club, Unbelievably talented Friendly and So knowledgeable. Ivette and Marilon in First Club Services, Mayra in the Mexican Restaurant, our servers and Maitre D in the Italian So Friendly, happy accommodating.
    This is where the Grand Aruba Always Excels. If the quality of the food comes up to what it Usually was all would be Great.
    We had another Timeshare in the Bahamas as well, and we gave that up and will Only stay at Occidental. I am sorry to have some negative comments, but if quality goes down in any way it should be adjusted and you should be notified so it can be addressed. Occidental properties have a Great reputation and should Always maintain the High standards we have grown to respect.

    Hopefully at Allegro Cozumel you are taking advantage of this “off time” to also fix all of the existing pools problems with filtration and ability to properly vacuum and clean on a daily basis.

    Acabamos de regrezar de otras inolvidables vacaciones en Occidental Gran Cozumel (10 dias) y 4 mas en Playacar.
    Como siempre el servicio en Cozumel es de lo mejor first club es aunque un poco retirado de las habitaciones un gran lugar para tomar el desayuno.
    Las habitaciones de lo mejor.
    Despues de 10 dias en Cozume nos fuimos a Playacar a pasar los ultimos 4 dias de nustras vacaciones y nos encontramos que un grupo de Italianos habia tomado posecion de nuestro hotel, esto nos hizo sentir fuera de lugar ya que cuando quizimos hacer reservaciones para un tour simplemente nos dijeron que no habia ningun descuento para los miembros de first club (siempre lo habiamos tenido ) y lo peor fue nuesrto ultimo dia ya que mi esposa goza mucho del show mexicano y le gusta tomar fotos despues del show con las bailarinas, esta vez simplemente nos dijeron no hay tiempo para fotos ya que tendremos un show Italiano y no hay tiempo.
    Yo quisiera saber si esto va a continuar porque no estamos muy contentos por lo acontecido.

    Señor Naum. Quién te habla es la brasileña que estava en Aruba en Septiembre y que le envió unos 2 e-mails.

    Sobre este boletín, digo que están faltando informaciones sobre los hoteles afiliados. Yo hablo de los invitados, que solo pueden ir si yo depositar mi semana, o la semana accelerada, pagando la manutención. Me sorpreendí cuando intenté hacer reservaciones para mis amigos.

    Yo también no consigo saber si tengo puntos para cambiar. No consigo visualizar esta información nel site de ovc.
